Job Description

A Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of a Registered Nurse (RN) or physician. The LPN supports patient health, comfort, and safety in hospitals, long-term care facilities, clinics, and other healthcare settings.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor and record vital signs (blood pressure, temperature, pulse, respiration)

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed

• Assist patients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, and mobility

• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the RN/physician

• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation

• Provide wound care and basic medical procedures

• Ensure a clean, safe, and organized patient environment

• Communicate with patients and families regarding care plans

• Follow infection control and safety protocols
